The Kiss

When you said, 'can I get a kiss?'
I realised I hadn't had the chance to really look at you.
I turned around and looked into your eyes
that made me realise why I loved you.

'You just want a kiss?'
'I haven't got one yet today.'

That released all the stresses and worries that
were following me home and let me reach out to you
who were sitting beside me, and waiting for me.

At that moment, I just let go of everything
and held you closer to my heart.
I held you tight to really feel you being there.
I gave a kiss more than a kiss and
wanted to give you thousands more for the rest of our days.
As I gazed into your eyes looking into mine,
I fell in love again. As I placed my hand on your cheek
ready to embrace you, all of you,
you wrapped your arm around my neck and gave me a kiss.
If there is a heaven on earth,
that was it. That's where I wanna be.
Nothing else mattered.
I didn't want anything else.

When I close my eyes, I still feel it.
